Reconstruction
The Atlantic slave trade, also known as the transatlantic slave trade, was the trade of African people supplied to the colonies.
Abolitionists were people against slavery. They usually lived in the North.
Emancipation is a term used to describe various efforts to obtain political rights or equality, often for a specifically disenfranchised group, or more generally in discussion of such matters.
An Indentured servant would pay for what he/she needed by being a servant.
A shackle is a U-shaped piece of metal secured with a pin or bolt across the opening, or a hinged metal loop secured with a quick-release locking pin mechanism.
A fugitive is a person who is trying to get away from someone or something.
Reconstruction is pretty much like rebuilding something.
