Latin Lesson 10 & 11

Today we'll be learning Latin Lesson 10 & 11.

LESSON 10

NEW WORD: Non

Non means none and it rhymes with phone and bone.

In a sentence non usually comes before the verb.
non sum means I am not.

EXERCISES

1. Non sum means I am not.
2. Ego non sum means I am not.
3. Non sum nauta means I am not a sailor.
4. Nauta non sum means I am not a sailor.
5. Ego agricola non sum means I am not a farmer.
6. Agricola ego non sum means I am not a farmer.
7. Sum et nauta et agricola means I am a sailor and a farmer.
8. Et agricola et nauta ego sum means I am a sailor and a farmer.

That's all for Ch. 10 and I'm definitely not a sailor nor a farmer.

CHAPTER 11

NEW WORD: es.

In Latin es means you are but it only takes one word because you are speaking to one person when you use es.

EXERCISES

1. Es means you are.
2. Non es means you are not.
3. Es agricola means you are a farmer.
4. Agricola es means you are a farmer.
5. Non es agricola means you are not a farmer.
6. Agricola non es means you are not a farmer.
7. Sum agricola means I am a farmer.
8. Ego non sum nauta means I am not a sailor.
9.
Es et nauta et agricola means you are a sailor and a farmer.
10. Nauta sum et agricola es means you are a sailor and a farmer.

Remember I'm only learning Latin so I might get some of these wrong because my mom has me doing the exercises on my blog...
