Ants

An ant colony can have a few or many ants. The colony makes an ant hill then dig a nests under the ground. Ants have pretty busy lives there are special jobs for different ants.

The queen ant is the most important ant of all of them. But that's only because she lays the eggs to make the colony bigger so they can survive more easily.

The worker ants are always very busy. They have to care for eggs and young ants. The worker ants need to gather food for the colony. If the nest gets destroyed repairing the nest is another part of their job.

The soldier ants are very strong. They have to protect the nest frequently to keep the colony together and safe. They are recognizable for their large jaws.
