Robert Frost. (1874-1963) is undoutedly one of the greatest American poets of the twentieth century. Bron in San Francisco, Frost moved with his family to New England after the death of his father in 1885. Frost's expozure to the region's landscapes and speech mannerisms staterate many of his best poems. Yet scenic descriptions do not domminate all of Frost's work. The range of moods in his poetry is rich and varied, revealing a curoisity about human nature. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for poetry four times, there are now several books available that comamoarate Frost's work.
