When light passes through a glass prism, it is bent, or refracted. Light of one specific wavelength, however, bends at one specific angle. Sunlight has a number of wavelengths, so when it passes through a prism, it separates into many angles. Forming a vivid band of colors. A rainbow is an arc of color that appears in the sky when sunlight passes through raindrops that act as a prism. Rainbows may look like physical objects you can touch, but they are an illusion - a temporary, if spectacular display of the sun's light. Trying to find the spot where a rainbow ends will forever elude those who search for it.

Hola senoras y senores.

My, my. I'm actually doing a blog post... that has nothing to do with grammar!!! see????? no grammar and 2 many ? marks. No not really, just kidding. But seriously, NO GRAMMAR!(for now XD) And school has finally started up after a two week break and a great Christmas! =D

Gilligan! Also known as Gilwey! He's so cayute, I wish I would've taken a cuter picture of him though. :c

Anyway, he's such a barkleruffer, but Jakey loves Gilligan, he's in the other room watching Sesame Street. But when he isn't watching t.v. he's usually in there playing with his HUUUGE train-set, which has a ton of cars and is on a table that's just the right size for Jake and has a train track on it. See that orange and green table behind Gilligan with the stuff on it? That's Jake's train set.

This is a picture of our new computer set-up, Hannah's computer is on the right and mine on the left. I get the pen tablet~ IN YO FAYCE XD JKJKJK It's because I like using the tablet better than the mouse.

1. Define scapegoat. Whom did the Nazis use as scapegoats? Why did the Nazis need scapegoats? Are there scapegoats today? Explain.

An important tool of propaganda to the Nazi's, they used Jews as scapegoats as they were punished for the misdeeds of others and that's why Nazis needed them. And yes, there are still scapegoats today out there, though I don't think there are many.

2. List the groups that the Nazis considered racially impure and/or unhealthy. Do you know people today who have been included in these groups? How would the Nazis have viewed persons with HIV/AIDS?

Weak, handicapped and mentally retarded. Nazis would have viewed people with HIV/AIDS as people who have weak babies who will also likely have that same disease, they can't really be categorized in those other groups since they're not weak, handicapped or mentally retarded unless HIV isn't that person's only disease.

3. Define propaganda. How did the Nazi party use propaganda? Who uses propaganda today?

In the first question I said the Nazi's used scapegoating as propaganda, nowadays advertisers like business owners use all kinds of ways of propaganda.

There are seven, band wagon which tries to persuade you to join in with everyone else. Loaded words is when the advertisers speak strongly with emotion. There is also plain folks in which they are suggesting that this product or whatever is good for ordinary people. Transfer; this is transferring good looks, feelings, or ideas to people, suggests the possessive quality the product has in store for you. Testimonial is when they use a celebrity who "uses" the product to enforce it. Then there is repetition which is when they keep repeating the product's name all of the time, over and over again. So those are the seven types of propaganda, the way Nazi's used propaganda in the form of posters and leaflets. Hitler used the visual effects of poster to show that life was good in the Nazi party. The Nazis also used propaganda to pursuade people about joining; things desirable that weren't exactly true. They even used the media to try and show the false truth of it. Hitler made movies and films that had propaganda about becoming a Nazi and such. The films showed ways Hitler would rule Germany, he even used heavy propaganda in schools so the kids would learn about it!! That's insane!!!! Well, anyway, Hitler pretty much brain-washed and manipulated people to think the Nazi party was a good party to join. To bad it wasn't!! HAHAHA!

4. Kristallnacht was a terrorizing experience for the Jewish people. Research the causes, the events, and the results of this famous night.

Kristallnacht is pronounced "Crystal Night" but means Night of Broken Glass, it was an anti-Jewish program and was started by the murder of a German Diplomat by the name of Ernst vom Rath killed by Herschel Grynszpan, a German born Polish Jew. All firearms were to be taken from the Jews and if they resist they were to be shot and killed imediatly was Hitler's order after vom Rath's death who was killed by all of his injuries by being shot three times, and with that, word cam to Hitler.. During that night of Kristallnacht, 100,00 jews were arrested, three foreigners were also arrested along with 815 Jewish businesses had been destroyed.

5. Knowing the consequences, if you were caught hiding someone from the Nazis, would you have done it? Imagine what it would have been like. What plan would you have used?

Um... since it's all alot with location stuff I'd say these are Danish Jews! ^^

I would be all over the country for sure! I'd try to stay near often and act like I'm not doing anything illegal(at least, illegal to the Nazis) I would try to find a way to get the Jew(s) I'm hiding to a much safer country like Switzerland, since it's a neutral country kept Jews safe from the Nazis. I would try to help them find a place to hide that's not too near Switzerland's border so the Nazis aren't too suspicious! I wouldn't have that person/them wait out until the war is over, I'd have to make a plan to get them to Switzerland. Though Le Chambon-sur-Lignon in France would be a good place as well Switzerland is closer. First, I'd take the Jew/Jews to a forest or something if there are any and then we'd hide deep, but not too deep because we'd want to remember how to get out of the place. Then after maybe... a long while I'd leave the forest and check if there are any Nazis or people hanging around. Then if there are I'd go back to the hiding place (which would be a clearing of some sort) and if there aren't we'd leave the forest and cross the border of Switzerland, I'd go with them so I wouldn't be caught if I left Switzerland by someone passing by, then I would have to suffer the consequences and if they find the Jews than they too have to suffer even worse most likely.

When they are safe in Switzerland I would probably stay since it's so much safer there!

This is unfinished but you can get a sneak-peak at it. ;) But this doesn't have anything to do with Anne Frank but it was supposed to.
